Today's TA Disruptors LIVE event, "Is it ever ethical or effective for talent teams to fight AI with AI?", was full of strategies for managing the impact of AI-enabled candidates in your recruitment process.
Some highlights for us included...
🔴 Digging into unintended consequences: Like how banning AI, or relying on automated AI detection, can lead to falsely accusing neurodiverse candidates of cheating.
🤝 How to handle AI confidently: Clearly explaining how you use AI tools enhances the candidate experience and protects the integrity of your process. For example, providing candidates with recordings and AI-generated notes from interviews builds trust and allows employers to correct misunderstandings or inaccuracies.
⚖️ Legal and legislative pitfalls: Understanding and controlling how AI tools make decisions is critical, especially when it comes to screening CVs. Using black box algorithms can lead to unexplainable decisions... putting employers at risk from the EU AI Act.
📈 How AI can enhance talent acquisition: For example, by automating manual tasks like creating job ads, recruiters are more free to focus on value-added tasks like personal candidate interactions and improving the candidate experience.
