88% of students and recent graduates are now regular users of GenAI up from 72% in Oct ‘23 and 86% describe themselves as proficient –– data preview.
47% of professionals with 3+ years of experience are using ChatGPT but usage varies widely across demographics –– 74% of Black candidates are using ChatGPT vs 43% of white candidates –– data preview.
Usage is higher for applicants applying for roles in certain industries –– specifically in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction where interestingly more professionals than graduates have or plan to use GenAI in the application process (68% of professionals vs 53% of graduates)... completely debunking the myth that GenAI usage is more prolific among GenZ –– data preview.
And the same trend is true for those applying for roles in Tech and Media –– 60% of graduates have or plan to use GenAI in the application process vs 68% of professionals. Plus, 44% will use GenAI in their next job, and expect their employer to allow it –– data preview.
